What Damon feels for Elena is so obvious. Stefan knows his brother and knows that if he’s starting to feel again is because of Elena. We saw Stefan worried about the bond between Damon and Elena, he’s totally aware of that. And he know it’s not like it was with Katherine. Elena wouldn’t play with them like Kath did. And Stefan knows that Damon really wanted to kiss Elena. It wasn’t a way to annoy him, he wanted to kiss her because he feels something for her. Stefan is aware that Damon isn’t playing. It’s something real. After 145 years, Damon actually cares for someone, actually loves someone and that person is Elena.
